    Tarr steps A clapper bridge across the River Barle in the Exmoor National Park, an ideal place for paddling and playing in water.

    Beaches

    North Devon Coast offers plenty of beaches for all some of which are dog friendly. All within easy reach from North Lee. A personal favourite is Saunton or Putsborough from those looking for a dog friendly option.

    Woolacombe has been voted Best Beach in Britain on Trip advisor for the last two years and only the first section is kept dog free.

    Croyde A mecca for surfers, a 800m stretch of golden sand. But can be very busy during peak holiday season.

    Gardens

    Castle Hill home or the Earl & Countess of Arran. A garden for all seasons with woodland walks, formal gardens parkland and a tearoom. Dogs on leads welcome.

    RHS Garden Rosemoor 65 acres of inspirational gardens with vegetable gardens play areas and events throughout the year. Café gift shop and plant centre. Mobility scooters available

    Towns & Villages

    South Molton our nearest market town with bustling shops, tearooms and twice weekly market.

    Dunster, Medevil 11th Century town rich in history. Explore the castle and old market.

    Dulverton, In the middle of Exmoor set on the river with quaint shops and eateries play in the shallows of the river on a warm afternoon or combine with a trip to Tarr Steps.

    Lynton & Lynmouth Victorian towns with the cliff railway that joins the two. Visit the flood museum to see the changes.

    Barnstaple is the main town of North Devon offering high street brands and facilities.
